I was recently involved in a truck accident. What should I do?

First of all, try to remain calm, and stay inside your vehicle, unless it is perilous to do so. It is also recommended that you put on the hazard lights, and telephone 911 even if the accident appears to be minor. Try to obtain medical attention for any injured motorists or passengers.

If at all possible, refrain from moving any of the vehicles until the arrival of police. It is also best to make a note of the names and contact information of all parties involved. In addition, take photographs of the vehicles and of any injuries you suffered, or that your passengers sustained.
